How much does it cost?

OpenAthens is a shared service. Organisations who use the service contribute financially towards its operation and development to meet their needs. For users of the service, this model provides the most cost effective way to manage controlled access to online resources.

For Service Providers, pricing is based on usage in terms of the number of resources protected, organisations subscribing to those resources, and numbers of users accessing them. Charges are made annually in advance based on a minimum three year contract. Please contact athenssales@eduserv.org.uk for a quote tailored to your projected usage.

If you are a UK Higher or Further Education institution, there is a special bundled subscription rate for all components of the OpenAthens framework.
