OpenAthens Workshops for IT and Library staff

Eduserv has announced a series of free workshops for OpenAthens support staff from UK universities and colleges, to be held this Spring.

The workshops will take place in London (24 Feb), Birmingham (4 March) and Glasgow (5 March), and will provide a unique opportunity to learn from the developers of the OpenAthens suite of products the latest product developments and features.

With special breakout sessions for librarians and IT staff, the workshop days will cover:

• the latest developments Eduserv has planned for OpenAthens in 2009
• a preview of OpenAthens LA 2.0, a major upgrade to OpenAthens LA 1.0 (AthensDA) that supports Shibboleth
• the improvements we have made to simplify and ease the use of OpenAthens Managed Directory for Athens Administrators
• the usability developments and new tools for helping you to help your staff and students in the MyAthens interface
• pricing of annual subscriptions from August 2009 and your next steps
