Registration process

Local Authentication Registration Process

  1. If necessary, register your organisation with Athens.

  2. Complete the username password policy audit for this authentication system.

  3. The Athens Administrator for your organisation should register your authentication system with the Athens Federation by completing the appropriate forms within the Athens Administration Area.

  4. Using the ProviderID or SiteID provided to you by Athens, either submit a certificate signing request, or the actual certificate used for your SAML requests, using the Upload Certificate form within the Administration area (see URL above).

  5. Athens will test your integration against the Athens Local Authentication Integration Standards. Details of this process will be sent to you following registration.

  6. If testing and the policy audit are satisfactory, your integration will be considered to be live.
