The domain administrator is able to create personal accounts, using an online form in which details about a user are entered. At many organisations, however, this would not be practical due to the number of users. Therefore, domain administrators are encouraged to facilitate the creation of new personal accounts in one as follows:
a) Devolving responsibility to administrators below them, for example one in each department.
b) Bulk uploading of existing data about users into Athens (see next question)
c) Self-registration. Administrators can set up a self-registration account that will enable users to login into the MyAthens user interface where they can create their own personal account.
