How do I join the UK Access Management Federation using OpenAthens?

Step 1

The first step is to nominate Eduserv as your outsourced Shibboleth identity provider. A formal letter of application must be sent to the UK Access Management Federation on your institution's letterhead.  To help make this process easier Eduserv have prepared a sample letter that you can use when you apply.

Step 2

The second step is to subscribe to an OpenAthens Licence from 1st August 2008. Please complete the Commitment to Participate Form and we will send you details of the OpenAthens licence which will be available in the near future.

OpenAthens services are freely available as a part of the access and identity management services contracted by the JISC until 1 August 2008.
