Allocating resources to sites

You can allocate resources to subscribing sites in the Resources section of the DSP interface. You can also remove access and customise the emails that advise your customers of the change. Follow the steps below to find out how to allocate resources, or download a copy of these instructions in a PDF.

How to allocate resources in the DSP interface

1. You will need to login to the DSP administration area. If you do not have an account please contact the Eduserv Service Desk athenshelp@eduserv.org.uk. Once you have an account, login to the DSP area: https://dsp.athensams.net/dsp_area/ DSP resource interface
2. You will be taken to the ‘DSP summary information’ page. Click on the ‘Resource allocation to organisations’ fast link.

3. Once you’ve selected to allocate or remove you will be taken to the page to 'Allocate resource 'or 'Remove resource from organisations' page. On this page you will be given two options.

      • Option 1 to 'Upload an organisation ID list' allows you to enter multiple org IDs into a plain text file and bulk allocate/remove them. Once you have uploaded your list you will need to click on submit button just below and you are finished.
      • Option 2 to 'Select the organisation' allows you to manually select individual organisations from the list. You will then need to click on the submit button at the bottom of the page.
