Eduserv's OpenAthens framework of access and identity management products and services enables commercial organisations to

• manage identities of employees, partner organisations and individuals
• control access of employees and other individuals - from partner organisations or the public - to internal applications, electronic resources and other services as appropriate
• provide individual users with a single set of credentials with which to access all of the resources to which they are entitled

These solutions, based on the OpenAthens framework of products and services and the Athens service, are already used in commercial organisations both to control customer access to valuable resources (primarily publishers) but also where commercial organisations are managing the identities of their employees who are accessing external (subscription-based) resources.
